WJ Kenyon were proud to supply and install Bristol Easton Mosque with bespoke Ghusal Equipment.

Body Chamber FD 1-2 Lateral

Kenyon supplied our high efficiency “low Carbon foot print” Chiller Cold Room. This was achieved by utilising our Kenyon 100% Modular build Cold Rooms that utilise our patented Profile Thermal Barrier system. Every Panel locks in to a Profile which in turn locks in to another Profile. Utilising 80mm thick Panels and our unique Kenyon profile system creates a room of immense thermal dynamics and fabric efficiency. The Refrigeration unit that runs the Cold Room is made with Tropicalised Fins that disperse heat quickly. The Condensor Fans are of a twin set up type with Fan Speed Controllers that control Head Pressure. Fan Speed Controllers are the only real way of controlling Head Pressure and Discharge Temperatures.

The lateral Kenyon Body Chambers internal furniture is all bright polished 316 Medical grade Stainless Steel and utilises 12 Rollers per Tier. The Kenyon pressed 750mm wide Obese Body Trays that come as standard in the Kenyon Chamber were also supplied. The Kenyon roller shutter that the Body Chamber has fitted is insulated and has a floor Gasket to minimise any Air leakage creating Thermal efficiency.

The Body Trays were manufactured from high grade Medical Stainless Steel and completely hand polished to look like mirrors, with no raised areas at all.

Kenyon provided a Fixed Ghusal Table. The remit was for the Ghusal Table to be made to 900 mm wide and not 1000mm wide which is our standard size. The Table had to be in 316 High Grade Stainless Steel as per the client’s request. Kenyon manufactured and altered the Tooling to produce the 900mm wide bespoke version of the fixed Kenyon Ghusal Table. The Table consists of three 316 Stainless Steel removable Body Trays with a set optimum quantity of laser punched holes to the unique Kenyon specification size, allowing for faster drain away of foul water. The Table has two Drain Outlets to move water faster from the “Sparge” area.

The Ghusal Table was fitted with the Kenyon Specification Swan neck Lever Action Taps made in Stainless Steel. This allows for Elbow operation of the Levers during Ghusal. The Kenyon Ghusal Table has a Mixer unit fitted that controls the flow to two Shower Hoses on either side of the Table. There is a Thermostat that is fitted to allow for an optimum water temperature via all outlets. The Table has Safety Non-Return Valves on all Services for added hygiene. The Kenyon Ghusal Table has been designed with the Plenum set at an optimum height and set back distance to allow for ergonomic operation with no obstruction to the operator’s knees. The Kenyon Ghusal Table comes with a Stainless Steel removeable Privacy and Awrah Cover.

A “Kenyon Preparation Table” was also manufactured and supplied in high grade Medical Stainless Steel. Fully mobile and on 4 castors. This is used for the dressing of the deceased and applying Perfumes, and for the storage of towels on the under shelf below.

Kenyon also supplied their HET style “Touch Button Electric Trolley”. Electric being the chosen medium as that would make carrying out the removing and inserting of the Kenyon Trays much easier for everyone. This trolley is used for un-loading and loading the body chamber and for moving around the mortuary safe and secure.

A One Man Loading Stretcher was supplied to enable the Janaaza staff to collect the deceased safely from the collection point to the mortuary/Ghusal room. The stretcher has folding legs that each operate at the pull of two levers making it easier to insert in to a vehicle.

An Electric Ghusal Body Hoist was also supplied to make moving the deceased around the Ghusal room an easy and safe practice. This is achieved by safely strapping the deceased before moving them from the Ghusal Table to the coffin or to the Kenyon Preparation Table all at the touch of a button on the wired Keypad. This reduces manual handling drastically.

Kenyon supplied our Kenyon KEH 320 Body Hoist. This is a fully mobile electric touch button Body Hoist that lifts the deceased at a touch of a button. This makes manual handling a really simple affair with the twin Castors mounted in each corner. There are 8 Castors in total and all are braked. Operation is via a wired Keypad and the simple pressing of one brings the unit in to operation. The unit has a boom with 4 body safety straps that self- lock and a head support sling. The Kenyon KEH 320 glides effortlessly across the Mortuary floor
